Silhouette

Every time i see you
out of the corner of my eye
you make me stop.
and smile

it stuns me every time
you're so beautiful
from the inside on out.
The fullness of your smile

it rubs off on me
Every time we touch
my heart gives a start
and leaps for joy

Every time i hear your voice
the day grows a thousand times brighter
the flowers sing
the greens of the grass are greener

when i see your heart i am reminded
that there is a God
and He loves us
you and I

We are one
like God and church
one in body and spirit
every time we stand together

singing the songs of worship
i thank God for you
because without you
i would have no one to share my deepest secrets
no one to be completely honest with

you know, though i don't know you right now
i can tell you that even from the silhouette
seen from the corner of my eye

you are beautiful
from the inside on out
so while i stand here next to you
i worship my God for this beautiful woman that he has given to me

Remember o Child the Days Gone Black

Remember o Child the days gone
When black birds reigned
Cawing at your every move
Confusion had become your best friend
You would have become unbalanced
Crazy
Had it not been for the sparse rays
of light
of life
of hope

Remember o Child those dark days
Remember well
Because it was in that time
The time when you had no hope
That my son burst forth
Holding back your tormentors
Defending your exhausted limp
Carcass
As if…as if it were his only child

Remember my child that it was in that time
In the lonely decrepit darkness
When all your strength was drained
That a savior came
And filled you up
Turning your darkness into day
Turning your death into life

Remember my Child
Remember my saving power
My unending strength
My light

Remember because the Dark Crows will caw once more
The day will again turn to night
Times will soon become hard
And it is during those times that…
I need you to become…
my little light
so that I can show others
light
life
and hope…
my saving power
My unending strength
And my light…
that I freely offer
remember, remember, remember
my child
the light that I freely offer…
Isaiah 12.2
Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.
