Rejected Spring

How goood the spring, that flows forth , feels
how satisfying the drink
too long have i terried in the dessert
too long have i willingly starved
Parched...
i was

my wicked tongue swollen,
from lack of water...
the Living Water

I needed you so bad
but i refuesed to turn
the very heart that i was dependent on for life
was forsaken
because i had my own agenda

my plan was to trap and ensnare
my scheme, was to destroy to hake, to...forsake...
your ways

and it didn't work

you pulled your hand from my life
you retracted your Holy Presence
I lost my satisfaction in you
and began to wither
like a plant who...
was starved for the water which would restor me back to my former Glory
my Glory in You!

For a time i lived in the dessert starved for bread
famished for water

you did not would not let me die
death knocked
and before i even got to the door
you had shut it tight!

Why?

Why would you refuse to turn your back on a person who had turned his back on you?
why do you refuse to give up!?
My only conclusion is because You
Are good
becauese you
are God
and because you are my Savior!

All i can say is "Thank You" For not giving up on me!
